Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2026
These terms govern the Peakprint app and this website. The provider is Justin Znaidi, Europaring 90, 53757 Sankt Augustin, Germany, reachable at [email protected]; full details are in the imprint. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
1. Minimum age
Peakprint is for people aged 16 and over. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
2. Account and sign-in
Signing in works exclusively through Sign in with Apple. There is no password for us to hold.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. An account belongs to one person and cannot be transferred or sold.
3. What you upload
You keep the rights to your photos. You grant us a simple, non-exclusive right to display them in the app and on the map for as long as the print exists. Delete a print or your account and that right ends.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content. The following are not allowed:
- Violent, pornographic or otherwise objectionable content
- Harassment, hate, threats, or calls for any of these
- Photos of other people without their consent
- Images you do not hold the rights to
- Spam, advertising and links to third-party offers
- Anything that breaks applicable law
4. Genuine summit prints
A print can only be taken in the immediate vicinity of a summit. Location and measured altitude are checked on the device and again on the server. Attempts to circumvent that check — spoofed locations, for example — lead to the account being suspended.
5. Reporting, blocking and moderation
Every print and every profile can be reported from inside the app. Every report is reviewed within 24 hours; content that breaks these terms is hidden or deleted. Until that review it stays visible — the app tells you so when you report.
You can block other users. Once blocked, neither of you sees the other's prints.
Breaking these terms leads to the content being removed and may suspend the account permanently. You can always reach us at [email protected].
6. Voluntary tip
In Settings you can send us a voluntary amount. It is a thank-you with nothing in return: it unlocks no feature, no content and no currency. Every part of Peakprint stays fully usable without paying anything.
The purchase is handled through your Apple ID. Apple's terms apply to payment, receipt and refunds, so a refund is requested from Apple rather than from us.
7. Your own responsibility in the mountains
Peakprint is not a route planner and not a safety device. The map shows where other people have been — not whether the way there is passable, safe, or right for you.
The storm and avalanche warnings in the app come from third parties: Germany's Deutscher Wetterdienst via Bright Sky, Open-Meteo, and the European avalanche warning services. They can be late, incomplete or wrong, and they replace neither the official bulletin nor your own judgement on the ground.
Mountain sport remains at your own risk. Do not take a single step for a photo that you would not take without a camera.
8. Availability
Peakprint is offered without any promise of uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, faults and ongoing development can cause interruptions.
9. Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for instance when new features arrive. We will announce substantial changes in the app. If you keep using Peakprint afterwards, the changed terms apply.
11. Governing law
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you habitually reside remain unaffected.
